Applicants must be current FFA members and high school seniors or college students planning to enroll or currently enrolled full-time. They must have one of the following undergraduate majors: agronomy, crop science, general agriculture, agricultural communications, education, journalism, extension, public relations, business management, economics, sales and marketing, engineering, mechanization, agriculture power and equipment or welding. Students only need to complete the online application one time to be considered for all FFA-administered scholarships. The application requires information about the student's activities and a 1,000-word essay. Awards may be used for books, supplies, tuition, fees and room and board. They must be rising juniors and must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Employees of Michael Baker Corporation and their family members are ineligible. They must be pursuing a degree in land surveying or geomatics and must maintain an overall GPA of 2.5 or better and a GPA of 3.0 or better in surveying courses. Applicants must be Georgia residents enrolled in an undergraduate land surveying program of study at an accredited institution of higher learning. They must have completed at least 20 percent of their program requirements before receiving any scholarship monies awarded. Students must also maintain a 2.4 overall GPA and 2.7 GPA in surveying courses. Preference is given to full-time students seeking a bachelor's degree. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.
