Out-of-State Capstone Scholar

Award: $1,500, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be an out-of-state first-time freshman student with a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA and a minimum composite ACT score of 27 (combined SAT Reasoning score between 1210 and 1240).

 

Out-of-State Grant

Award: $3,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must have a minimum 2.0 GPA and be a resident of any state except Kansas. FAFSA is required.

 

Out-of-State Tuition Assistance Scholarship

Award: $6,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must show academic ability and not be a resident of Idaho.

 

Max and Emmy Dreyfuss Jewish Undergraduate Scholarship

Award: $3,500, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a Jewish resident of the Washington, DC metropolitan area, who has been accepted into an accredited four-year undergraduate program on a full-time basis. Selection is based primarily on financial need. Awards may not be used for community college or study abroad programs (including Israel).

 

Morton A. Gibson Memorial Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a high school senior, who is a Jewish resident of the Washington, DC metropolitan area, and has been accepted into an accredited four-year undergraduate program on a full-time basis. Significant volunteer services within the local Jewish community are required to be completed.

 

McNair Scholars Award

Award: $12,000, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be from outside South Carolina. Selection is based upon academic achievement, leadership, and character.

 

Mt. Garfield Non-Resident Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and a resident of any state other than Colorado, and have a minimum 3.2 GPA.

 

Northrop Grumman Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: February 28

Applicant must be a female full-time student at the University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Engineering. Focus on one of the following disciplines is required: civil and materials, electrical and computer, computer science, or mechanical engineering. Applicant must show evidence of above average academic performance (minimum GPA 3.0/4.0). Women of color (African American, Latina, Native American) are encouraged to apply. Application coversheet, biographical statement, current resume or CV (list your education and employment history), UIC transcript, proof of financial aid eligibility, proof of U.S. citizenship (copy of birth certificate or passport), and two letters of recommendation (include at least one from a UIC instructor) required.

Entering freshman applicants must have a minimum 3.5 GPA or rank in the top quarter of class and have a minimum composite ACT score of 24. Transfer applicants must have completed at least 24 credit hours and have a minimum 3.25 GPA.

Lighthouse International's Scholarship and Career Awards

Paul Dirksen Smith Scholarship

Award: $1,750, Deadline: March 1

Awarded to (in order of preference) a member of the Virginia Tech Cycling Club or a resident of Minnesota, South Dakota, Iowa, or Maryland. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen and be enrolled full time (at least 12 credit hours per semester). Entering freshman and transfer applicants should have a minimum combined SAT I score of 1100. Returning student applicant should have a minimum 3.0 Quality Credit Average (QCA). Applicant must submit FAFSA. Selection is based upon demonstrated financial need, academic achievement, extracurricular activities, and community service.

 

Guaranteed Access Grant

Award: $11,600, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a Maryland resident, have a minimum high school cumulative 2.5 GPA, begin college within a year of high school graduation, be under age 22, have a family income below 130% of federal poverty level, plan to attend a Maryland school, and submit an official secondary school transcript.

 

Educational Assistance Grant

Senatorial Scholarship

Part-Time Grant

Applicant must be a Maryland resident enrolled in at least six but not more than 11 credits per semester at a Maryland school.

 

Distinguished Scholar Teacher Education Award

Applicant must be a Maryland resident attending a Maryland school and be a recipient of the Distinguished Scholar Award.

 

Maryland Science and Technology Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a Maryland resident and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above to apply.

 

State Nursing Living Expenses Grant

Award: $3,000, Deadline: June 30

Applicant must be a Maryland resident, be a recipient of a State Nursing Scholarship, attend a Maryland school, and demonstrate financial need. Applicant must file FAFSA by March 1st.

 

Physical and Occupational Therapists and Assistants Grant

Award: $2,000, Deadline: July 1

Applicant must be a Maryland resident, enroll in a Maryland school in a professional program leading to licensure, and must submit official secondary school and college transcripts.

 

Graduate and Professional Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a Maryland resident who demonstrates financial need. Applicant must be degree-seeking, either full-time or part-time and attend one of the eligible institutions.

 

Sharon Christa McAuliffe Memorial Teacher Education Award

Award: $15,700, Deadline: December 31

Applicant must be a Maryland resident and enroll for at least six credits per semester in a Maryland school in a program leading to a teaching certificate in an area of critical need.

 

Child Care Provider Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: June 15

Applicant must be a Maryland resident, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and enroll as a full-time student with at least 15 credit hours per week, or if working at a child care or family day care center, enroll for at least six credits per semester, while working at a child care or family day care center no less than 15 hours per week.
