NCPA Foundation Student Loan

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a student member of NCPA, be a U.S. citizen, have a minimum 2.5 GPA, and be enrolled as a full-time student in the last 2-1/2 years of their first professional pharmacy degree program. Applicant must submit transcripts and statement listing fees for tuition and books.

 

Health Careers Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a U.S. or Canadian citizen enrolled full time in an accredited school of study in the U.S. or Canada and submit resume, official transcripts, an itemized budget endorsed by the school's financial aid officer, and two letters of recommendation. Pre-med students are not eligible. Enclose two stamped, self-addressed, business-sized envelopes with inquiry.

 

AACP-AFPE -Burroughs Wellcome Fund Pharmacy Faculty New Investigators Program Grant

Award: $12,500, Deadline: June 6

Applicant must have earned terminal degrees in his or her discipline, have a full-time primary academic faculty ACPE-accredited appointment in a school or college of pharmacy, hold the rank of assistant professor, and be in the first to fifth year of his or her academic appointment.

 

AAPS/AFPE Gateway Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: January 28

Applicant must be enrolled in the last three years of a B.S. or Pharm.D. program at an accredited college of pharmacy or a baccalaureate degree program in a related field of scientific study at any college and have a demonstrated interest in, and potential for, a career in any of the pharmaceutical sciences.

 

Phi Lambda Sigma/Glaxo/AFPE First-Year Graduate Scholarship

Award: $7,500, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be in the final year of a Pharmacy B.S. or Pharm.D. program, be a member of either Rho Chi or Phi Lamdba Sigma, and be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

 

Rho Chi/Schering-Plough/AFPE First-Year Graduate Scholarship

Award: $7,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a member of the Rho Chi Honor Society and be a pharmacy student in the final year of professional studies or a professional pharmacy degree program graduate entering a pharmaceutical sciences (including social/administrative sciences) Ph.D. program in an accredited U.S. school or college of pharmacy as a full-time student. Pharmacy students who have initiated graduate work through a dual Pharm.D./Ph.D. degree pathway are eligible if they will be pursuing full-time graduate study in the year the award is made. Applicants who have completed professional pharmacy degree programs must enroll in a pharmacy college graduate program for the Ph.D. not later than 16 months after completion of the professional degree.

 

Kappa Epsilon/AFPE/Nellie Wakeman Fellowship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must have completed one term of advanced studies in the pharmaceutical sciences, be a member in good financial standing of Kappa Epsilon, and be working toward a pharmacy M.S., a Ph.D., or a Pharm.D. (having previously earned a pharmacy B.S.). Financial need is considered.

 

Merck Research Scholar Program for Professional Degree Pharmacy Students

Award: $7,000, Deadline: January 28

Applicant must be registered in a professional pharmacy degree program, be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, and maintain a 3.0 GPA or better in the professional degree program. More information is available upon request.

 

AFPE

Award: $5,000, Deadline: January 28

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, be enrolled in the last three years of a B.S. or Pharm.D. program at a U.S. college of pharmacy, and will be enrolled for at least one full academic year following the award of the scholarship.

 

AFPE Clinical Pharmacy Post-Pharm.D. Fellowship in Biomedical Research Sciences

Award: $27,500, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen who has received the Pharm.D. degree within the last 10 years. Applicant must have completed a one-year postdoctoral clinical residency and/or clinical fellowship. Applicant must agree to carry out the fellowship full-time. Applicant must be accepted for postdoctoral training at a recognized academic/research institution.

 

NCPA Foundation Presidential Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a student member of NCPA and be enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited U.S. pharmacy school or college who is able to demonstrate an interest in independent pharmacy. Selection is based upon leadership qualities and academic achievement.

 

Henry D. and Ida Mosier Senior Scholar Award

Award: $2,500, Deadline: None

Selection is based upon overall professional performance.

 

Eli Lilly Travel Award

Award: $500, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be a woman. Award is for travel within the continental U.S. to present work at a scientific meeting. Selection is based upon scientific merit and financial need. Preference given to applicants who have not previously presented work at a national meeting, older returning students, and applicants with the greatest need.

 

AFDO Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must demonstrate a desire to serve in a career of research, regulatory work, quality control, or teaching in an area related to foods, drugs or consumer product safety, demonstrate leadership abilities, have a minimum 3.0 GPA during first two years of undergraduate study, and submit official college transcript and two letters of recommendation from faculty members.

 

Patricia Collins Amaral Memorial Fund

Award: $600, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a senior who has a minimum 3.0 GPA and who has demonstrated the finest qualities of leadership through participation in campus organizations and has rendered service of significant benefit to the campus community.

 

Alumni Association Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must demonstrate community leadership and have met the award criteria established by the Alumni Association's Scholarship Committee. Applicant must have completed 12 credits last semester and 24 credits at Bridgewater State College as of December 31. Applicants who have transferred from Massachusetts Community Colleges, Dean College, or Quincy College are eligible to apply.

 

Endo Pharmaceuticals Scholarship Fund

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be the child of an employee of Endo Pharmaceuticals in good standing who will major in a health or pharmaceutical-related field and is 24 years of age or younger.
