Catharine Gould Chism Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be an incoming freshman who has demonstrated leadership abilities and has the intent to major in the arts or humanities.

 

Languages, Literature, & Philosophy Fodor Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and minimum 3.5 foreign language GPA. Two foreign language courses must be taken and 250-word essay is required to be submitted.

 

Patricia Collins Amaral Memorial Fund

Award: $600, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a senior who has a minimum 3.0 GPA and who has demonstrated the finest qualities of leadership through participation in campus organizations and has rendered service of significant benefit to the campus community.

 

Dr. Wallace L. Anderson Scholarship

Applicant must be a junior student in the humanities and creative arts who has an excellent academic record and who has shown evidence of artistic or literary ability or has demonstrated leadership in the academic major.

 

Alumni Association Scholarship

Applicant must demonstrate community leadership and have met the award criteria established by the Alumni Association's Scholarship Committee. Applicant must have completed 12 credits last semester and 24 credits at Bridgewater State College as of December 31. Applicants who have transferred from Massachusetts Community Colleges, Dean College, or Quincy College are eligible to apply.

 

Sister Catherine Marie O'Brien Distinguished Scholarship in Secondary Education

Applicant must be a third or fourth year full-time student with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicant must be eligible for the Federal Pell Grant.

 

Marjorie Urban Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior residing in Hansford, Lipscomb, or Ochiltree counties in Texas, who exhibits community service and leadership and will major in music or religion. Minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA required while in college.

 

Betty Rae and Luetta Anderson Fund

Applicant must be a graduate of Walla Walla High School who plans to continue foreign language education at the collegiate level. Preference for those studying German.

 

George F. Tanner Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior from North or South Decatur High School who will pursue post-secondary education in education or foreign language. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

The Legacy Scholarship Fund of Ernst Gottlieb Braun

Applicant must be a resident of Fayette County, PA who will attend a post-secondary institution in the European Union majoring in architecture, art, foreign language or history. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.
