Sho Sato Memorial Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a member of JACL. Selection is based upon personal statement, letters of recommendation, transcripts, work experience, and community involvement.

 

May M. Walker Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: September 15

Applicant must be enrolled full time in the College of Law, show evidence of ability to succeed, and demonstrate financial need.

 

George B. Fraser Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: September 1

Selection is based upon first-year class status and need. Consideration given to performance in civil procedure 1.

 

Kerr-McGee Law Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: September 1

Awarded on Law Day to a first-year student who has an interest in natural resources law and ranks in top fifth of class.

 

Lee B. Thompson Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: September 1

Applicant must be a first-year law student who demonstrates excellent character, leadership, unselfish service to others, and scholarship. Selection is based upon merit and need.

 

Mary L. Reynolds Memorial Scholarship

Award: $3,500, Deadline: April 1

Award must be used to defray tuition, airfare, and lodging expenses for the Oxford Summer Law Program in England. Selection is based upon need and scholastic standing.

 

Bowles, McDavid, Graff, and Love Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a West Virginia resident enrolled as a freshman at the West Virginia University College of Law who demonstrates financial need and a strong record of academic excellence in undergraduate work.

 

Madeline B. McCrum Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be attending West Virginia University College of Law. Minimum 2.5 GPA and composite ACT score of 20 required.

 

Knights of Pythias Scholarship

Award: $1,880, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be an Arizona resident, demonstrate financial need by filing FAFSA, and have declared a major.

 

ARS Graduate Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be of Armenian ancestry. Selection is based upon scholastic qualifications, financial need, and involvement in the Armenian community.

 

William A. McGillivray Gold Medial in Law

Award: $5,000, Deadline: December 1

Awarded to the student with the highest aggregate standing during the three years of study in the faculty. Award is in Canadian dollars.

 

Frederick and Marguerite Hulme Scholarship

Award: $7,500, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be entering the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Management in the joint LL.B./M.Bus.Admin. program. Selection is based upon academic merit and financial need. Recipient must be enrolled full time during tenure of award.

 

F. Richard Matthews Q.C. Scholarship

Award: $4,500, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a B.Comm graduate of the Faculty of Management and have an accounting concentration or CA designation. Selection is based upon academic merit. If no suitable candidate is found, then a student entering the faculty who is a graduate of the Faculty of Management will be considered.

 

Donald P. McLaws Prize

Award: $4,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must have completed Contracts and Property plus three of the following: Banking and Bills of Exchange; Business Association; Tax Law and Policy; Personal Property Security; Natural Resources; Corporate Finance and Securities. Applicant must have high aggregate standing in the above courses. Award is in Canadian dollars.

 

Harry J. Donnelly Memorial Scholarship

Award: $725, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be an active member of Tau Kappa Epsilon pursuing an undergraduate degree in accounting or a graduate degree in law. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Health Research Training Program

Award: -, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a New York City resident who is attending a metropolitan New York City school. The program offers internships in public health research, community outreach and education, fieldwork, laboratory work and administration to all college undergraduates, graduate, and professional school students.

 

Keith Webb Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a student in the School of Law Enforcement and Justice Administration or be minoring in pre-law. Minimum 3.2 GPA and demonstration of strong potential for career in law or law enforcement and justice administration required.

 

Hopi Supplemental Grant

Award: $1,500, Deadline: July 31 (fall); November 30 (spring); April 30 (summer)

Applicant must be an enrolled member of the Hopi Tribe. Entering freshman applicant must have a minimum 2.0 GPA or a minimum GED score of 45%. Continuing student applicant must have a minimum 2.0 GPA. Financial need is considered.

 

Warner, Norcross and Judd L.L.P. Legal Studies Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: April 15

Applicant must be a Michigan resident who is a student of color (African American, Asian, Hispanic, Native American, Pacific Islander) accepted to or presently attending an accredited law school or paralegal program. Selection is based upon transcripts, goals and aspirations, financial need and two letters of reference.

 

Center's Scholarship

Applicant must have a grade average of "B."

 

Florence Young Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: June 13

Applicant must be a graduate student pursuing a Master's degree in art, law, or public health.

 

Marilynne Graboys Wool Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: June 2

 

Patricia Collins Amaral Memorial Fund

Award: $600, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a senior who has a minimum 3.0 GPA and who has demonstrated the finest qualities of leadership through participation in campus organizations and has rendered service of significant benefit to the campus community.

 

Alumni Association Scholarship

Applicant must demonstrate community leadership and have met the award criteria established by the Alumni Association's Scholarship Committee. Applicant must have completed 12 credits last semester and 24 credits at Bridgewater State College as of December 31. Applicants who have transferred from Massachusetts Community Colleges, Dean College, or Quincy College are eligible to apply.

 

Bertha Pasternak Feldman Award

Olga V. Alexandria (Logan) Scholarship

Applicant must be a female student majoring in ballet, theatre, business, law, or medicine and who has financial need.

 

HSF/Wal-Mart Stores College Scholarship Program

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a United States citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 who is of Hispanic heritage and is a sophomore, junior, senior, or first, or second year Master's student enrolled full-time with a minimum 3.0 GPA in a degree-seeking program at an accredited college or university in the United States, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, or Guam. FAFSA is required. Program will begin as of fall 2009.

 

George H. Nofer Scholarship for Law and Public Policy

Award: $5,000, Deadline: April 21

Applicant must be a full-time graduate student with a moderate to profound pre-lingual bilateral hearing loss who is attending an accredited law school or a master's/doctoral program in public policy or public policy administration.
