HNTB Minority Civil Engineering Scholarship

Applicant must be an incoming African-American or Hispanic descent freshman or transfer student admitted directly into the engineering college. GPA, ACT/SAT score, and class rank all considered.

 

Civil Engineering Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 1 (Priority)

Applicant must be enrolled at the University of Missouri at Columbia.

 

HSF/Marathon Oil Corporation College Scholarship Program

Award: $10,000, Deadline: November 1

Applicant must be a United States citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 who is of Hispanic American, African American, Asian Pacific Islander American, or American Indian/Alaskan Native heritage and is enrolled as a sophomore or senior college student with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Sophomore applicants must be majoring in engineering (civil, chemical, electrical, geotechnical, mechanical, or petroleum), geology, geophysics, accounting, marketing, global procurement or supply chain management, environmental health and safety, energy management or petroleum land management, or transportation and logistics; senior applicants must be planning to earn a Master's degree in geology or geophysics. Recipient must agree to participate in a possible paid summer internship opportunity with Marathon Oil Corporation. FAFSA is required. Program will begin as of fall 2009.

Patricia Collins Amaral Memorial Fund

Applicant must be a senior who has a minimum 3.0 GPA and who has demonstrated the finest qualities of leadership through participation in campus organizations and has rendered service of significant benefit to the campus community.

 

Alumni Association Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must demonstrate community leadership and have met the award criteria established by the Alumni Association's Scholarship Committee. Applicant must have completed 12 credits last semester and 24 credits at Bridgewater State College as of December 31. Applicants who have transferred from Massachusetts Community Colleges, Dean College, or Quincy College are eligible to apply.

 

John Gargano Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and complete two consecutive semesters at the school.

 

HSF/Wal-Mart Stores College Scholarship Program

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a United States citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 who is of Hispanic heritage and is a sophomore, junior, senior, or first, or second year Master's student enrolled full-time with a minimum 3.0 GPA in a degree-seeking program at an accredited college or university in the United States, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, or Guam. FAFSA is required. Program will begin as of fall 2009.

 

Jere W. Thompson, Jr. Scholarship

Applicant must be a sophomore enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a B.S. in civil engineering or construction engineering at a public or private college or university in Texas. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Whitley Place Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a graduating senior of a high school in Prosper Independent School District who has applied to and plans to attend an accredited college or university. Applicant must plan to pursue studies in the area of civil engineering, construction science, construction management, architecture, landscape architecture, planning, public administration, mechanical engineering or other math/science related fields.

 

Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) Portland Post Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be enrolling as a college sophomore or above at a public college or university in an aeronautical, biomedical, chemical, civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering program. FAFSA and minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Michael and Anna Kurty Scholarship for Students of Engineering

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 2

Applicant must be a college sophomore or above pursuing a degree in chemical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering at Ball State University, Purdue University of Evansville, Tri-State University, or Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.

 

Govind and Bahkti Nadkarni Engineering Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior or current college student in the Coastal Bend with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicant must plan to attend Del Mar College or Texas A&M - Kingsville and pursue a major in civil engineering. Minimum 12 semester hours required.

 

Starr D. Kohn, Ph.D. PE Memorial Scholarship Fund

Award: $2,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be an undergraduate student at the University of Michigan studying civil engineering. Primary consideration will be given to students focusing on a geotechnical, pavement or pavement-related field of study. Transcript and letter of recommendation required to be submitted.

 

Kenneth W. Kramer, PE Memorial Scholarship Fund

Award: $2,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a student from the Ann Arbor or Plymouth area, including Washtenaw or Western Wayne County, pursuing studies in civil engineering at the undergraduate or graduate level. Applicant must be focusing on geotechnical or pavement studies at a Michigan ABET accredited university. Transcript and letter of recommendation are required to be submitted.

 

Tim Sardelich Memorial Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: April 23

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a high school in Sacaremento, El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, Sutter, Yolo, or Yuba counties who is pursuing an architecture or civil engineering degree at an accredited college or university. Minimum 3.0 GPA required. Financial need must be demonstrated; extracurricular and community activities will also be considered.

 

APWA Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a full-time junior or senior at a public university in Mississippi who is studying to enter the field of public works.

 

DEW Superintendents Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont who will pursue education or training in civil or structural engineering or construction management. Financial need, community involvement/service and education/work ethic must be demonstrated.

 

Edward J. Bayon Memorial Scholarship

David R. Jones IV Scholarship

Applicant must have completed their sophomore year at an accredited college or university and be majoring in a field that is related to asphalt paving technology, such as civil engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry or other related majors. Preference will be given to applicants with experience and interest in the field of asphalt technology.

AACE International Scholarships

Applicant must be a full-time student enrolled in a program related to cost engineering/cost management (agricultural engineering, architectural engineering, building construction, business administration, chemical engineering, civil engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, mining engineering, electrical engineering, and quantity surveying). Applicant must be in their final undergraduate year and have been accepted to attend a full-time graduate program in the next academic year. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

John T. Coates IV, Civil Engineering Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduate of any public Henderson County high school who is planning to pursue a career in civil engineering at North Carolina State University. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.
