Patricia Collins Amaral Memorial Fund

Applicant must be a senior who has a minimum 3.0 GPA and who has demonstrated the finest qualities of leadership through participation in campus organizations and has rendered service of significant benefit to the campus community.

 

Alumni Association Scholarship

Applicant must demonstrate community leadership and have met the award criteria established by the Alumni Association's Scholarship Committee. Applicant must have completed 12 credits last semester and 24 credits at Bridgewater State College as of December 31. Applicants who have transferred from Massachusetts Community Colleges, Dean College, or Quincy College are eligible to apply.

 

Special Undergraduate Academic Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and a minimum combined SAT I score of 1500 (composite ACT score of 21).

 

Van W. Emmons, Sr. 'People First' Award

Applicant must demonstrate time and energy given to non-profit organization, churches, and/or other community services that provide positive social support.

 

Ina G. Tabor Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA in the social work major with 91 credits. High moral and ethical standards and a commitment to practice rural social work must be demonstrated.

 

College of Business, Information, and Social Sciences Dean's Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and a minimum SAT reading and math combined score of 1200 (composite ACT score of 26). Three recommendations and a 1,000-word essay describing the applicant's professional and personal long-range goals are required.

 

Captain Jim Unterwagner Scholarship

Applicant must have 64 credits and be able to demonstrate academic achievement and financial need.

 

Rose Metz LaPotin Scholarship

Applicant must be recommended by his/her local YMCA Executive Director and enrolled in the YMCA Senior Directors Certification Program. Written verification of having completed 50 hours of volunteer services at a YMCA organization/agency by July 15th of each year the scholarship is received is required.

Orfalea Scholarship Award

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior or Ventura County high school graduate enrolling or already enrolled at an accredited vocational school, community college, or four-year college or university. Applicant must be an early childhood education or teaching major, or any major provided applicant is able to meet at least one of the following requirements: has a documented learning difference/is a non-traditional learner; is under 24 years of age and has a parent employed as a nurse, teacher (pre-K to grade 12), or at a non-profit agency; is under the age of 24 and is the child of a single parent; has completed the Montana Yellowstone Expedition Summer Program.

 

Orfalea Health Field Scholarship Award

Applicant must be a Ventura County high school senior or graduate enrolling or already enrolled at an accredited vocational school, community college, or four-year university in a health-related field. Essay is required and it must specify intent to practice in Ventura County upon completion of studies.

 

Bob Benedetto Memorial Scholarship Fund for Social Workers

Award: $500, Deadline: January 11

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior or community college student in Ventura County with a minimum 3.5 GPA, who is intending to enroll in a four-year accredited college or university for an undergraduate degree. Essay that explains applicant's college objectives and desired future achievements is required.

 

Finck Family Charitable Fund Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior or community college student in Ventura County with a 3.0 GPA, who is intending to enroll for a degree in education, health-related studies, or social services at an accredited college, university, or vocational school.

 

Allied Healthcare Scholarship Program

Selection is based upon financial need, career objectives within the next five to 10 years, community involvement, community background, and academic performance. Recipient commits to a one-year service obligation service practicing direct patient care in a medically underserved area (MUA) of California.

 

Hokuli`a Foundation Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a resident of North of South Kona who plans to study in the fields of healthcare, education or social work. Preference given to applicants who demonstrate an emphasis in advancing Native Hawaiian culture.

 

The Leonard and Helen R. Stulman Endowed Scholars Program

Award: $5,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident who is enrolled or enrolling in a full-time masters degree program in social work or other mental health fields at an accredited university in the MD/D.C. region, is fluent in english and another language, and will work full-time as a bilingual specialist in a mental health field in Maryland for each year funded. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Graduate Student Award Program

Applicant must be enrolled at least half time in an education, environmental, health-related, social work, or public service area at a four-year public or nonprofit college or university in Oregon. FAFSA required.

 

Delta Theta Tau Sorority Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Blackford County who plans to pursue an associate's or bachelor's degree in counseling, education, or social work.

 

Steve Dearduff Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a legal resident of Georgia who is enrolled in or accepted to an accredited institution of higher learning and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in medicine or social work. Minimum 2.0 GPA, financial need, and history of commitment to community service are required.

 

Columbus Rotary Scholarship in Honor of Judson S. Erne

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Bartholomew County high school who will attend a college, university or technical school pursuing a degree in divinity, education, nursing or social work. Community service and minimum 2.0 GPA required.

 

Janet Wray and Mary Jean Lawhorn Wollenweber Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior or past graduate of Arsenal Tech High School who will attend a college, university or other post-secondary school in Indiana to pursue a degree in or related to social work. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.

 

Melonye Shurtz Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior of Eastmont High School who is pursuing further education in a service related field such as teaching, medical, social work, etc. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Raymond & Elaine Kraezlein Scholarship
