Maryland Science and Technology Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a Maryland resident and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above to apply.

 

Paul W. Ruckes Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be blind or visually impaired, be a U.S. citizen, and submit three letters of recommendation and a statement of educational and personal goals, work experience, extracurricular activities, and how the money will be used.

 

ASGC Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen who is a full-time student with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Selection is based upon essay, letters of recommendation, resume, standardized test scores, and transcript.

 

Unisys Corporation Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: January 16

Applicant must be pursuing a B.S. or B.A. degree, have at least one academic year remaining and completed at least one semester in residence, be a full-time student, and have a minimum 3.0 GPA overall and minimum 3.5 GPA in computer science courses.

 

B.J. Harrod Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a woman with a minimum 3.5 GPA. Applicant must be in an ABET-accredited engineering program, engineering at SWE-approved institution, or computer science in a CSAB-accredited program or at an ABET-accredited or SWE-approved institution.

 

New Jersey Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 15

Applicant must be a woman with a minimum 3.5 GPA who is a resident of New Jersey. Applicant must be in an ABET-accredited engineering program, engineering at SWE-approved colleges and universities, or computer science in a CSAB-accredited program or at an ABET-accredited or SWE-approved institution.

 

Past Presidents Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a woman with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicant must be in an ABET-accredited engineering program, engineering at SWE-approved colleges and universities, or computer science in a CSAB-accredited program or at an ABET-accredited or SWE-approved institution.

 

NALE Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: April 15 (fall); September 15 (spring); March 15 (summer)

Applicant must be at least one-quarter Native American and be an enrolled member of a U. S. tribe that is federally recognized, or terminated, with high GPA and test scores, and be enrolled in an accredited college or university.

 

McKnight Doctoral Fellowships

Award: $17,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be an African-American or Hispanic student who holds a minimum of a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Awarded to applicants who intend to seek a Ph.D. degree in the disciplines of arts and sciences, mathematics, business, or engineering.

 

Lydia I. Pickup Memorial Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a woman, have a minimum 3.5 GPA, and attend an ABET-accredited engineering program, engineering at SWE-approved colleges and universities, or computer science in a CSAB-accredited program or at an ABET-accredited or SWE-approved institution. Award is for education to advance applicant's career in engineering or computer science.

 

Brockman Fellowship

Applicant must be an entering first-year traditional undergraduate high school student who is majoring in mathematics or computer science. Selection is based upon an on-campus essay and group conversation at the Collegiate Fellowship competition. Minimum composite ACT score of 28 (combined SAT Reasoning score of 1250) required.

 

Health Research Training Program

Applicant must be a New York City resident who is attending a metropolitan New York City school. The program offers internships in public health research, community outreach and education, fieldwork, laboratory work and administration to all college undergraduates, graduate, and professional school students.

Applicant must be enrolled full time, have a minimum 2.5 GPA, demonstrate financial need and be a resident of a county which has an established Home Bureau chapter.

 

Leonard Howarth Scholarship

Applicant must be an incoming freshman or transfer student who is interested in majoring in biology, chemistry, computer science, geology, mathematics, pre-engineering, or physics.

 

DOE Office of Science Graduate Fellowship Program

Applicant must be an outstanding student pursuing graduate training in basic research areas of physics, biology, chemistry, mathematics, engineering, computer/computational sciences, or environmental sciences relevant to the Office of Science.

 

Banatao Filipino American Education Fund College Scholarship

Applicant must be a current high school senior who is at least half Filipino and a resident of one of the following California counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Los Angeles, Marin, Merced, Monterey, Napa, Orange, Sacramento, San Benito, San Diego, San Francisco, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano, Sonoma, or Stanislaus. Applicant must be planning to attend a four-year college or university and major in engineering, mathematics, computer science, environmental science, or a physical science. Minimum 3.0 GPA and financial need are required.

Applicant must be an incoming freshman student from Bloomsburg Area School District or Columbia-Montour Area Vocational Technical School with intent to major in mathematics, mathematics education, computer science, computer forensics, or statistics.
