Applicant must be a Certified, Regular, Associate, or Student Member of ASCET who is a U.S. citizen and a full- or part-time student. Applicant must meet minimum grade qualifications and demonstrate financial need. Three letters of recommendation (one must be from a faculty member) required.

 

Parish Grant

Applicant must be a Student Member of ASCET and a U.S. citizen. Minimum 3.0 GPA, demonstrated financial need, and resume required. Three recommendations (one must be from a faculty member in the Engineering Technology Department) and a statement of goals required.

 

General Motors Foundation Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a woman, have a minimum 3.5 GPA, demonstrate leadership with a position of responsibility in a student organization, and have a career interest in the automotive industry and/or manufacturing environment. Applicant must be in an ABET-accredited engineering program, engineering at SWE-approved institution, or computer science in a CSAB-accredited program or at an ABET-accredited or SWE-approved institution.

 

Anne Maureen Whitney Barrow Memorial Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a woman and have a minimum 3.5 GPA. Applicant must be in an ABET-accredited engineering program, engineering at SWE-approved colleges and universities, or computer science in a CSAB-accredited program or at an ABET-accredited or SWE-approved institution.

 

Northrop Grumman Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: February 28

Applicant must be a female full-time student at the University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Engineering. Focus on one of the following disciplines is required: civil and materials, electrical and computer, computer science, or mechanical engineering. Applicant must show evidence of above average academic performance (minimum GPA 3.0/4.0). Women of color (African American, Latina, Native American) are encouraged to apply. Application coversheet, biographical statement, current resume or CV (list your education and employment history), UIC transcript, proof of financial aid eligibility, proof of U.S. citizenship (copy of birth certificate or passport), and two letters of recommendation (include at least one from a UIC instructor) required.

 

Rochester Institute of Technology/SAE Engineering Scholarship

ACI Bertold E. Weinberg Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduate student at an accredited school who already possesses a bachelor's degree by their application year. Applicant must be studying concrete construction and be enrolled for at least six credit hours per semester. Transcripts, recommendations, and an essay are required to be submitted.

 

Separations Division Graduate Research Award

Award: $2,000, Deadline: April 15

Applicant must be nominated by an AICHE Separations Division session chair and must submit a paper on separations fundamentals or applications that was part of applicant's graduate degree work. Selection is based upon technical content, quality of writing, and organization.

 

Ruth E. Black Scholarship

Applicant must be at least a part-time student, and be a resident of Hawaii. . Selection is based upon a minimum 3.0 GPA, and financial need. Preference is given to children of those in construction related fields: architecture and engineering.

 

Patricia and Armen Oumedian Engineering Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Kent or Ottawa County, Mich., for three years. Applicant must be a full-time student who has completed his or her first year at Kettering U, and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Selection is based upon academic achievement, personal statement, and financial need.

 

American Electric Power (AEP) Scholarship

Applicant must be majoring in an area of computer science, engineering, or technology. Financial need required. Awarded by area companies each spring by the College of Engineering, Technology, and Computer Science.

 

Georgia Society of Professional Engineers Scholarship

Applicant must major in engineering or engineering technology. Applicant must have graduated high school in Bryan, Bulloch, Candler, Chatham, Evans, Effingham, McIntosh, Liberty, Long, Montgomery, Screven, Tattnall, or Toombs counties.

 

Mathematics, Science, and Technology Scholarship

Applicant must be an incoming freshman student who is majoring in mathematics, science, or technology (including computer science and engineering). Minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1100 and rank in top third of secondary school class required.

Applicant must demonstrate community leadership and have met the award criteria established by the Alumni Association's Scholarship Committee. Applicant must have completed 12 credits last semester and 24 credits at Bridgewater State College as of December 31. Applicants who have transferred from Massachusetts Community Colleges, Dean College, or Quincy College are eligible to apply.

Applicant must be a high school senior who is a United States citizen and a member of an underrepresented ethnic minority in the field of engineering: African-American, Hispanic, or Native American. Applicant must also be accepted into an ABET-accredited engineering program at a four-year college or university. Selection will be based upon GPA, internship/co-op experience, recommendations, honors/scholarships/awards, and responses to questions found on the application.

The New American Scholarship and Internship Program

Applicant must be a Latino student enrolled in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited four-year college or university who is seeking a degree in business, engineering (all disciplines), computer science/computer engineering, information systems/decision sciences, mathematics/statistics/sciences. Applicant must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future. Selection based up on academic performance, essay responses, extra-curricular/interests/community service, demonstrated leadership, communication/interpersonal skills, and work experience. Program provides a combination of scholarship assistance and a possible structured, multi-year internship for Latino college students. The internships are designed to work with major corporations, and at the same time, provide students with a pathway to high-level careers in the private sector.

 

Stewart G. Corya Purdue University Engineering Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Greensburg, North Decatur or South Decatur High School who will attend Purdue University's School of Engineering.

 

James A. Volk Engineering Scholarship
