Thurgood Marshall Scholarship

Award: $4,400, Deadline: May 30

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1100 (composite ACT score of 25), be a U.S. citizen, and be recommended as an exceptional academic achiever or outstanding talent in creative and performing arts. Applicant must attend one of 38 historically black public institutions as a full-time student, and must demonstrate financial need.

 

Senator James M. Jeffords Endowed Scholarship to Honor Marion Hausman Jeffords

Award: $1,500, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a graduating senior who will pursue a degree in the arts at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Academic achievement and financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Vivian Klemz Memorial Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: January 11

Applicant must be a resident of Ventura County, pursuing a major in visual, performing, or creative arts, and demonstrate financial need. Preference given to female applicants.

 

Summer Student Fellowships

Award: $2,100, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be an undergraduate, graduate, or medical student who is interested in pursuing eye-related clinical or basic research.

 

Grand Rapids Combined Theatre Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must demonstrate ability, talent, and dedication to the theatre arts, be pursuing an education in theatre arts, and have worked in the Grand Rapids, Mich.. area community theatre. Preference is given to theatre arts majors. Selection is based upon academic achievement, extracurricular activities, personal statement, and financial need.

 

Iowa Arts Council Scholarship for the Arts

Award: $1,500, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be an Iowa resident who will graduate from an Iowa high school and who has been accepted as a full-time undergraduate student at a fully-accredited Iowa college or university with a major in at least one of the following arts areas: dance, literature, music, theatre, folk/traditional arts, or visual arts.

 

Presidential Performing Arts Scholarship

Award: $15,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must submit essay and two letters of recommendation from professionals in the field. Music, dance, theatre (including technical) applicants must audition. Art applicants must submit portfolio.

 

Art Scholarship Graduate Level

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be an Alberta resident and be enrolled full time in a graduate program studying drama, dance, literary art, music, or the visual arts.

 

Patricia Collins Amaral Memorial Fund

Award: $600, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a senior who has a minimum 3.0 GPA and who has demonstrated the finest qualities of leadership through participation in campus organizations and has rendered service of significant benefit to the campus community.

 

Alumni Association Scholarship

Applicant must demonstrate community leadership and have met the award criteria established by the Alumni Association's Scholarship Committee. Applicant must have completed 12 credits last semester and 24 credits at Bridgewater State College as of December 31. Applicants who have transferred from Massachusetts Community Colleges, Dean College, or Quincy College are eligible to apply.

 

Communication Design Group Scholarship

Applicant must be a Visual Communication student intending a Practicum for Design Studio III.

 

Youth Free Expression Project Film Contest

Applicant be a United States citizen who is 19 years of age or younger. A filmed message sharing why video games are important to you is required.

 

Marjorie Urban Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a graduating senior residing in Hansford, Lipscomb, or Ochiltree counties in Texas, who exhibits community service and leadership and will major in music or religion. Minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA required while in college.

 

Eugene Bennett Scholarship for the Visual Arts

Award: $10,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduate of a Jackson County high school who will attend a public or nonprofit college or university and pursue a degree in visual arts. FAFSA and minimum 2.75 GPA required.

 

Leora Frances Brunk McDaniel Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a female graduating senior from Jefferson High School in Portland, Oregon who is studying art or music, or attending a college or art, letters, or science. FAFSA required.

 

Allen L. Keeney Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior of Rock Springs High School looking to further their education in the study of art.

 

Glenn R. and Juanita B. Struble Scholarship II

Applicant must be a graduate of an Oregon high school who resides in Benton, Douglas, Jackson, Lane, Linn, Marion, or Yamhill County and will major in business management, mechanical engineering, performing arts, or visual arts at a public or nonprofit college or university. Psi Iota Xi, Omega Chapter- Malpas Scholarship

Applicant must be a female graduating senior from Lebanon High School who ranks in the top third of her class and will pursue post secondary education in art, literature, music or speech and hearing. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.

 

Marjorie Stonehill- English, Journalism & Creative Arts Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Boone County high school who will major in creative arts, english, or journalism and is in the top 30% of their class. Essay and minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Arts Council of Gibson County Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Gibson County high school planning to pursue a two- or four-year degree at an accredited college or university in the field of art, drama, or music. Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA required.

 

Preble Family Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior from New Castle High School who participated in extracurricular activities such as band, choir, or orchestra and will study music at a college or university. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Jennifer Strietlemeier Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Bartholomew County pursuing post-secondary education in the visual arts.

 

Walter Blackburn Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a resident of Marion County who will major in design and/or architecture. Financial need and minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Barry Martin Brown Memorial Scholarship

Award: $450, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be either a graduating high school senior in Nueces County who plans to major in the visual arts (with a preference for ceramic art) or be a current student at Del Mar College or Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi. Applicant must enroll in a minimum of 12 semester hours at Del Mar College or Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi.

 

Ann N. MacGregor Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior or graduate who is a Kalamazoo County resident or is graduating or graduated from a Kalamazoo County high school who plans to enroll or currently enrolled as a full-time student in a degree-granting college or university as an undergraduate or graduate student in a visual arts program.
